Before you reach that cup of coffee or that bar of chocolate, which will probably only give you an energy boost for a couple of minutes and your probably feel worse after it as your body crashes again and you end up at square one again.

Here is a breathing exercise you can use as a natural energy booster, find a place where you can relax either on a bed or upright in a chair, because this exercise can bring on a feeling of dizziness to the beginner trying it out please don’t try to do it in a standing position or whilst in your car!

Firstly get yourself comfortable position whether suiting in a chair or lying on your bed and keep your back in straight position so nothing is effecting the air flow. Close your mouth and start to breathe in and out through your nose in a rapid fashion, try to breath about 2-3 inhalations a second for about 10 seconds. I know that at the start it will probably feel awkward and you will fill your muscle are having to work harder (this is good for strengthening your diaphragm) but the more you practice it you’ll find it easier to do and when you feel comfortable and gotten over the dizzy sensations you can then increase the length of time you do this for, add up to 5 seconds more onto this but don’t get carried away… it’s better to do small amounts over the day than try to do it over too long of a period.

This exercise works because it helps to increase the amount of oxygen coming into your body and give the body and muscles the needed the oxygen they have been needing. While this exercise is great in the short term you really need to work on your breathing technique overall to improve your energy levels right through the day.

With the advent of the information superhighway and the need for knowledge higher than ever.

With the advent of the information superhighway and the need for knowledge higher than ever, it can be difficult to cope with life when you have a bad memory. Luckily, people around the world have been using herbal supplements for memory for thousands of years, and many of them that have been proven effective are available today.

Here are a couple of herbal supplements for memory that can help you get your thought process back on track:

Fish Oil:

Harvested from the bodies of fish, fish oil is purified through a scientific process and turned into supplement form. Containing Omega-3 fatty acids, fish oil can have numerous effects on your body for the better. For one, fish oil can aid in preventing the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. It has also been associated with better memory, clearer thinking, and health of the heart. One of the best nutrients for brain health, this supplement’s effect on your body can be vast.

Be sure to only purchase pharmaceutical grade fish oil, however, since this is the process which removes the heavy metals found in fish due to pollutants. If your fish oil is not pharmaceutical grade, you run the risk of consuming such dangerous materials as mercury. In addition to being a great one of the herbal supplements for memory, the other numerous effects it has on your health are wide-spanning and helpful.

Ginkgo Biloba:

Ginkgo Biloba is another one of the herbal supplements for memory on the market that promises to aid your depression in addition to a host of other features. Ginkgo is the oldest known tree in the world, and its primary effect on the human body is improving cerebral circulation. Ginkgo Biloba is also known to increase oxygenation of brain tissues.

Due to these two features, Gingko has been linked to better brain health and is used for memory loss, depression, and even headaches. Another sound fact to know is that ginkgo has no known side effects.

These herbal supplements for memory can definitely change your life for the better.

This article talks about how people normally experience stress and anxiety in their everyday activities. Feelings of stress can cause a number of ill effects such as poor decision-making, irritability, and even memory loss. Prolonged exposure to these stressful situations can cause more permanent and psychological problems to occur.

It is normal for anyone to be exposed to situations and events that causes stress and anxiety. From work-related circumstances to schoolwork, these are unavoidable events that could make the person feel more tired and uptight. Stress can come from any thought or situation that would make a person feel frustrated, angry, or anxious. Anxiety on the other hand is a feeling of apprehension and fear. However, a little dose of stress can make a person more aware and alert of his surroundings, and this, in turn, could make a person more motivated and productive. It actually depends on how a person perceives the stress that they experience, if it is panic or somewhat a challenge. Normal stress can give protection from threatening situations, but prolonged stress can have the potential to damage a person’s health, including the brain.

Usually, when a stressful situation happens, our body reacts by releasing hormones such as adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine. These specific hormones increase the heart rate and respiration, send out more blood to the skeletal muscles, dull pain, stimulate the immune system, and turn sugar and fat into energy. This reaction of the body to the stress and anxiety that we encounter is considered as a normal mechanism for both the body and mind. Most of the time, the response happens for a limited time to help a person deal with a stressful scenario. After that, our body returns to its normal, non-stressed state. But sometimes, people deal with such stress and anxiety in a constant condition that can have ill effects on both their body and brain. Sustained abuse, combat, illness, pressures and anger-producing situations can damage and shrink certain brain areas, specifically in the hippocampus.

The major role of the hippocampus in the brain is for memory. People with prolonged stress often experience forgetfulness and difficulty in learning. Today, scientific studies claim that certain portions of this part in our brain such as the hippocampus can recover once the stress response is reversed. Such information is important for those people who are exposed to stress and anxiety in their line of work, school, and other activities.

In order to prevent such stress and anxiety from ruining one’s life and memory, it is crucial for people to undertake ways to cope with these that could also help a person’s health. Through exercise, the body is strengthened and the reduction of stress, depression, and anxiety becomes possible. A lot of scientific studies have proven the relationship between mood and exercise. Since exercise promotes fitness and relaxation, the body’s immune system is also strengthened and makes people respond better to different stress responses. By practising relaxation through biofeedback, meditation, along with other techniques, the patient can experience a lowering of the blood pressure, a slow down in respiration and reduction in metabolism and muscle tension — all of which counteracts the effects of stress. Social contacts with friends and family members also provide significant emotional comfort that can help reduce stress. By having a good attitude towards life, with confidence and optimism, people can now stop the harmful cycle of stress in their lives.

“Do I need supplements to gain muscles fast?”, “What supplementations are needed for body building beginners?”, “Are the nutrients from my daily meals enough for me to gain bigger muscles fast?”

•Creatine Supplements – Creatine can significantly increase muscle volume along with protein. It will also improve your weightlifting performances and raise your energy levels so that your workouts are more intensive and this provides for greater muscle gain.

Bodybuilders prefer to use various proteins and other body building supplements to increase the muscle strength. Protein powder, metal replacement product and creatine are some of the commonly available products preferred by bodybuilders.

Introduction:

Bodybuilding supplements consists of various substances including proteins and amino acids, metal replacement products, prohormones, testosterone boosters and are taken by boy builders and sports persons to help building muscle or supplement fat loss. These bodybuilding supplements are also suitable for improving sports performance.

Amino acids, Branched chain amino acids, glutamine and protein:

Protein consumed by our body metabolizes into amino acids. The bodybuilders prefer most commonly three branched chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. Muscles metabolize these branched chain amino acids. Additionally these branched chain amino acids are assumed to have resistance towards muscle breakdown.

Although soy protein, a naturally occurring complete protein may sometime exhibit estrogenic activity and is therefore avoided by many of the bodybuilders, however egg protein is preferred as it is also a complete protein. Casein, another richest protein source of amino acid glutamine is preferred as it contains casomorphine additionally, which releases amino acids at regular intervals.

Bodybuilders prefer to take protein just after exercise or as a replacement of meal. Protein powders are available in the market and right quantity of these at recommended helps in making muscles, as muscles are primarily made of protein and protein also helps us in repairing and growth of muscles.

Whenever you purchase a protein packet, you must look for total serving in the pocket and gram protein, gram carbs, gram sugar and gram fat per servings. If you are lactose intolerant, you should select a protein packet, which does not contain lactose. On the basis of all these information you must select the right product suitable for you.

Metal Replacement Products:

The metal replacement products are either available in powder form or in bar form. Powder form can be mixed with water, milk or juice and can be taken thereafter, however bars can be consumed straight away.

These are made available for complete meal replacement and contains high amount of proteins, moderate amount of carbohydrates and also contains various vitamins and minerals.

Various manufacturers of metal replacement products claim to have added soy protein, egg albumin, whey protein or micellar casein as source of protein. For replacement of carbohydrates ingredients derived from oat fiber, wheat flour or maltodextrin have been added. Some may contain essential fatty acids substitute and other mineral substitutes. Some other products such as glutamine peptide and additional amino acids are also added by some of the manufacturers.

Creatine Monohydrate:

Creatine monohydrate is one of the essential organic acids. It is one of the few products suitable for making healthy muscles. Creatine monohydrate is useful for sports persons engaged in weight lifting and short-range sprinters. Creatine monohydrate works in our body and plays a vital role in making and replenishing of ATP. It is also occurs naturally in beef, pork, and salmon.

If you are on creatine, you may notice a weight gain as creatine has a volumizing effect and draws water and various other nutrients to muscle cells.

Some of the common and minor side effects associated with intake of creatine include stomach upset and gastrointestinal distress. Although, some of the recent studies on creatine shows that it has a positive influence on our heart health and it lowers our lipid profile.

Prohormone Supplements:

Prohormones are precursors to both male and female hormones. Body builders are only interested in the supplements capable to increase male hormone testosterone as at elevated level testosterone will lead to improved muscle growth. Studies carried out on various prohormone have not given the desired results. Some of the horhormone are not significant and effective and may have side effects.

In the sport of body building, there are many supplements that can be used to grow muscles quickly, but many of these substances are man-made like steroids. Natural body building is done without the benefit of artificial substances being put into the body. That doesn’t mean not using body building supplements as many of these are natural products. What it means is staying away from man-made hormones and steroids to aid in building body mass.

The body building industry has taken a very firm stance on the use of illegal and artificial substances – especially in competitions. There are even specific contests geared toward natural body builders. Most competitions will test participants prior to allowing them to compete, and if someone is found to have an illegal substance in their body, they are banned from participating.

While synthetic products will grow your body very quickly, they can have horrible side effects. The trend toward natural body building is about growing your body, maximizing your nutritional intake, as well as staying healthy while you are growing your muscles.

When you decide that natural body building is the route you want to go, it’s important that you get the right amount of nutrients and vitamins that will maximize your workout sessions. That means taking a multi-vitamin and eating properly in ways that will send muscle building proteins to the right parts of your body.

It is more than possible to grow your body naturally through an effective weight training program coupled with good nutrition. There is no reason why steroids or growth hormones need to be introduced into the body for ultimate muscle mass.

One of the key components of a natural body building program is to eat healthy and maintain a positive mindset when it comes to your workout program. Supplements are also important when you want toned, fit muscles. The ingredients in supplements like creatine and glutamine are naturally produced in the human body anyway. What the supplements do is increase or enhance those substances that are naturally there anyway.

Proponents of natural body building will agree that an effective workout program coupled with effective supplements and nutrition can make for a healthy, toned body. Natural body building is definitely the way to go if your goal in a body building program is to get healthy and feel good. Steroids and growth hormones should be avoided at all costs.

Body building the natural way is best for everyone. Steroids are not. Don’t take the chance that you will suffer ill effects from steroid use. Just know that a strong workout program and a commitment to your body building goals will grow your body in a natural way not an artificial way.

Protein is key to building muscle, and even beginner bodybuilders will tell you this. However, it is important to understand that not all proteins are alike, even though they have the same basic makeup. So, when it comes to body building gain mass muscle supplements, what exactly is it that you need?

Obviously, you need protein, but not just any protein. Of the 22 amino acids that are contained in protein, there are eight that are not produced by our bodies. This means that we must get those proteins through food or supplements. Of those 22 amino acids, there are also seven that our bodies do produce, but which cannot synthesize when certain conditions exist.

The fifteen amino acids are vital to bodybuilding, and not all proteins contain all fifteen of them. Proteins that do not contain all of them are called incomplete proteins, while proteins that do are termed as complete proteins. Furthermore, even if a protein contains all of the amino acids, if it doesn’t contain them in the amounts that we need, it cannot be called a complete protein.

The body building gain mass muscle supplements that contain the protein that we need are measured even further. Protein quality must be measured, and this is done using a method created by the Food and Agricultural Organization. The amino acid profile of the protein is compared to the essential amino acids that we require as human beings. Those that closely or exactly match what we require as humans are considered high quality proteins, while those that are lacking are considered to be lower quality proteins.

Overall, it has long since been determined that the best proteins come from low-fat dairy products, fish, lean meats, egg whites, and soy products. However, the chances are good that you cannot take the time to prepare and eat these foods each day, in the amounts that you will require, which is where body building gain mass muscle supplements come in.

Experts recommend supplementing your diet with protein powders, sports bars, or meal replacement drinks. These supplements are very convenient, and make it easy to determine that you actually are getting the right amount of protein, and the right protein in your diet. However, do not replace solid food with these supplements altogether, as this is unhealthy, and quite dangerous. Note the word ’supplement.’

Before you start wondering which are the best body building gain mass muscle supplements on the market, go back and read over this information. There are many, many great brands on the market, and any one of them that contains the protein that you require will do the trick. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive brand on the market, and it doesn’t matter whether it is pre-mixed or powdered. The only thing that matters is that you use the product appropriately.

In general, over-the-counter acne treatments and traditional prescription medications have proven effective in the reduction and virtual elimination of acne, there are other less traditional ways to approach the treatment of acne. When delving into non-traditional medicine most are dealing with approaches such as acupuncture, herbal medicines, homeopathic medicine, mind/body medicine, Ayurveda and Kampo as well as dietary and nutritional considerations. The following takes a look at each of these areas as they relate to acne.

Acupuncture: The use of acupuncture in the treatment of acne has not been scientifically evaluated but there have been reports that two acupuncture procedures have reduced the symptoms of acne: auricular acupuncture (acupuncture applied to the ear) and electro-acupuncture (acupuncture using a mild electrical current).

Herbal medicine: Some herbs are known to have anti-inflammatory properties and, for that reason, they may be helpful in the treatment of acne (as well as other skin conditions):

Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
German chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
Witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana)
Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum) and flaxseed oil
Tea Tree Oil

The herbs that help reduce acne inflammation do so by reducing the amount of the P.acnes bacteria produced by the body as a reaction to clogged pores. Tea Tree oil has been favorably compared to benzoyl peroxide in the reduction of P.acnes and is said to have fewer side effects (stinging, itchiness and dry skin).

Homeopathic remedies: Homeopathic professionals evaluate the individual (their physical, emotional and intellectual makeup) before prescribing a treatment and then tailor the treatment to the individual. While homeopathy has not had the benefit of many scientific studies, professional homeopaths have found that certain homeopathic treatments reduce certain symptoms of acne:

Belladonna works best for people who are experiencing “hot” areas on their face or those who have pus-filled acne blemishes.

Calendula is used to treat pus-filled blemishes or blisters.
Hepar sulphur is useful for pus-filled blemishes that are painful.
Kali bromatum is used for deep acne blemishes, especially those on the forehead.
Silicea is used for deep, pus-filled acne blemishes.

Mind and body medicine: Mind and body approaches to the problem of acne are primarily through the practices of biofeedback, cognitive imagery and hypnotherapy.

Biofeedback and Cognitive Imagery: Biofeedback and cognitive imagery are relaxation therapies used because emotional stress can have an aggravating effect on acne. Biofeedback techniques train the individual to control some internal processes such as heart rate and muscle tension. Cognitive imagery (also called guided imagery) involves the use of mental pictures to relax and evoke helpful physical and emotional conditions. Together, when used properly by a person who has mastered the techniques, these methods have been shown to lessen the severity of acne breakouts.

Hypnosis: Hypnosis works pretty much the same way that biofeedback and cognitive imagery work, by relaxing the patient. The obvious difference is, of course, in the case of hypnosis, a professional practitioner is controlling the process.

Ayurveda: Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine originated in India. Ayurveda focuses primarily on diet and lifestyle. Each person, as we all know, is unique and Ayurveda treatments recognize this by tailoring recommendations to the individual.

The practitioner of Ayurveda observes the individual and applies knowledge he or she has learned through ancient texts that document the ‘energetic forces’ (called Tridoshas) that influence everything in nature — including, of course, humans. Ayurvedistic remedies tend to be herbal; for example, the one Ayurvedic preparation that has proven best for acne relief, a preparation called “Sunder Vati” is an herbal remedy that consists of Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Holarrhena antidysenterica and Embelia ribes.

Kampo: Kampo is a Japanese version of traditional, ancient Chinese medicine. A Kampo treatment for acne, the treatment called: Keigai-rengyo-to (TJ-50), has proven effective in some cases. TJ-50 consists of seventeen herbs that have combined anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Among there herbs are: Skullcap root (Scutellaria lateriflora), Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Mint (Mentha arvensis), Angelica root (Angelica archangelica), Peony root (Paeonia lactiflora).

Nutrition and Dietary Supplements: It has been pretty well proven that, at least as a general proposition, diet has no effect on acne but there are certain foods that effect certain people in certain ways. There are many reports from individual acne sufferers that certain drinks or foods (it seems that nuts are particularly suspect) make their acne worse. All that can be said about this is pay attention to what you eat and how it affects you over the next few days.

Reports have shown that hoodia gordonii is an effective appetite suppressant. Yes, hoodia gordonii is the latest craze in dieting these days.

After decades or centuries of existence in the desert, now hoodia gordonii is being popular as an effective and safe weight loss pill. But do you know what hoodia gordonii is and where it came from?

Hoodia gordonii is a plant which is mistaken as a cactus since it is a cactus-like plant, but actually it is succulent which means that they belong to the same family. Succulents are desert plants which are made up of fleshy stems and leaves. Hoodia gordonii is a bitter tasting plant with spikes in it. It is known to grow in Kalahari Desert of South Africa.

In the late 1930s, a study was conducted by a Dutch anthropologist, who observed the San people who ate the cactus-like plant by removing the skin and spikes in order to suppress their hunger and thirst especially when they are out for long hunting. The CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research), in the late 1960s conducted a study about the cactus-like plant. The study showed that this plant can suppress the hunger and thirst of San people when they go for long hunting. They tested this plant to animals and found out that there were decreased in weight when fed with this plant.

A British company had a partnership with Phytopharm, they able to found out the active molecule in the plant and they called it as p57. Three years later, Phytopharm sub-licensed its rights to develop it to Pfizer.

The active molecule which is p57 works by tricking the brain and signaling it that you are full and not hungry or thirsty. Due to this, it prevents a person from eating and wanting to eat because you do not feel hunger. So a person can lose weight by eating less.

With all the new information discovered about hoodia gordonii, this plant is no wonder an amazing weight loss pill that can effectively make you lose weight. But it is advisable to associate taking hoodia gordonii with eating healthy and with proper exercise. You have to eat food that has proper nutrients that are needed by your body. You also have to give 30 minutes to an hour of your time each day by doing physical activities such as swimming, jogging, walking, dancing, aerobics, going to the gym and so on.

You have to take the proper dosage of hoodia gordonii in order for you to see great results. Do not overuse it or take less of it. It is also advisable to drink water even if you do not feel thirsty since water is important and needed by the body. So to lose weight just take hoodia gordonii which an effective appetite suppressant.

Sexual impotence is a distressing condition which affects many sexually mature males, more commonly when they reach middle age. It can be caused by different factors that may be rooted in either physical or psychological conditions, or both. It can be treated by taking medications orally or through injections.

Sexual impotence, or erectile dysfunction, is a condition characterized by a man’s repeated inability to obtain or maintain an erection suitable for sexual intercourse. Erections are managed by two different mechanisms, the reflex and the psychogenic erection. Reflex erections are achieved by directly touching the male shaft. Psychogenic erections are achieved by erotic or emotional stimuli. Sexual impotence can be caused by psychological issues, stress, alcohol abuse, smoking, hormonal deficiency, or diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease. When the underlying medical or psychological condition causing the sexual impotence is determined, the proper course of treatment will then be prescribed. Patients will have the option to take either testosterone injections, oral prescriptions, direct injections to the shaft, vacuum pumps, surgery, or in cases of psychological issues, counseling. Apart from those there are other, more unconventional treatments available, like herbal medicine, acupuncture, or experimental medicine.

One of the most popular treatments for sexual impotence is the use of oral phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors such as Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil), and Levitra (vardenafil) which are reliable, non-invasive and conveniently packaged in pill form. PDE5 inhibitors work by relaxing smooth muscle tissue in the blood vessels of the penis enabling their dilation and increasing blood supply to the corpus cavernosum, which helps enable men to obtain and retain an erection. But these pills are not without their complications, and may cause a myriad of side effects. These medications are also hazardous for patients taking nitrate-based drugs or alpha-blockers, because drug interaction with PDE5 inhibitors can be fatal.

But lately, another drug has been increasingly gaining a following among patients with sexual impotence. Yohimbine hydrochloride is a substance derived from the bark of the yohimbe evergreen tree, which grows in West Africa where it traditionally has been used as an aphrodisiac and sexual enhancer. It works by increasing the amount of blood that is allowed to flow into the penis and prevents blood from flowing out of the penis, thereby resulting in an erection. While the substance is naturally occurring in the tree’s bark, the latter contains minimal amounts of yohimbine. In the United States it is sold in a standardized form that is available as a prescription drug for the treatment of male sexual impotence. It may come in capsule, tablet, liquid, or powder form.

Yohimbine hydrochloride has not conclusively been proven to be an effective treatment for sexual impotence. However, some studies suggest that it may be most effective on men with mild erectile problems regardless of whether it was caused by an underlying physical or psychological condition. The drug itself does cause side effects like the other medications for sexual impotence. Among these side effects are dizziness; anxiety, irritability, or nervousness; tremors (shaking); headache; or skin flushing. Other, more dangerous side effects are an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives); a very irregular or fast heartbeat; or confusion or unusual behavior. If any of these symptoms occur after ingesting the drug, medical attention should be sought immediately.
